Curvio

Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 September 2026. These terms take effect when Curvio is first released.

These are the terms you agree to when you use Curvio. We've kept them short and readable. Please read the safety section properly — it's the one that matters.

1. Who we are

Curvio is provided by Curvio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17476350), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means you.

2. What Curvio is

Curvio designs routes for runs, walks and rides from a description you write, shows them on a map, and records the activity when you go out. It is a planning tool. It is not a navigation system, a guide, or a substitute for your own judgement.

By using Curvio you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use it.

3. Safety — please read this

You are responsible for your own safety. Curvio suggests routes using map data that is drawn by volunteers and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. A path may not exist, may be closed, may be unlit, may cross private land, or may be unsafe on the day.

That means:

Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights if we are negligent — see section 11.

4. Health

Curvio is not a medical device and gives no medical, health or training advice. If you have a health condition, or you're starting or changing exercise, speak to a doctor. Stop if you feel unwell.

5. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Curvio.

Curvio gives you a private account automatically when you first open it. Keep your phone secure — anyone using it can reach your account. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Your data, which removes everything we hold for you.

You agree not to use Curvio to break the law, to interfere with it or anyone else's use of it, to get round its limits, or to take its data in bulk.

6. Fair use

Designing routes costs us money each time, so each account has a daily allowance of AI requests and route designs, which is generous for one person. We may change the allowance, and we may suspend an account that is clearly being abused or automated.

7. Your runs and routes

Your runs and the routes you save are yours. You keep everything you own in them. You give us permission to store and process them only so far as we need to in order to run Curvio for you — to back them up, tidy a recorded trail, and show them to you. Nothing more. We explain the details in the Privacy Policy.

8. Map data and credits

Curvio is built on other people's work, and their terms come with it:

You may use routes and exported files for your own activities. You may not scrape, resell or redistribute Curvio's data in bulk.

9. Availability and changes

Curvio is offered as it is. We can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a route will always be designed — it depends on services we don't control and on a signal. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, and we'll give reasonable notice where we sensibly can.

Curvio is in private testing and may contain faults. Remove this paragraph at public release.

10. Price

Curvio is free today. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions we will say so clearly before you pay anything, and these terms will be updated.

11. If something goes wrong

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows: we are not liable for loss or damage that wasn't reasonably foreseeable, and we are not liable for the consequences of you relying on a route, distance or climb being accurate. Curvio suggests; you decide.

12. Ending it

You can stop using Curvio and delete your account whenever you like. We may end your access if you break these terms seriously or repeatedly.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local consumer law and may bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app when the change matters. Carrying on using Curvio after that means you accept the new version.
